FROM THE “WHOLE” TO THE “PART”

The other day I heard a funny comment which made me think of how we sometimes engage life. The person said the following, “Sometimes I need to have an intelligent discussion, that is why I speak to myself!” Even though this might be true in some
cases it is not absolutely true. If we look at the Word of God and what God designed, we see that God always included other people. Isolation was never His design - relationship was His design. God in Himself is not alone and so He also designed us to operate corporately, never individually. Our relationship with Him is personal, yes, but our expression of that relationship should be
corporate.

We need to think from the whole to the part. What does that mean? When you understand that you are just a part of a bigger Godly purpose (True Church, God’s Kingdom) you have the ability to recognise your unique role and purpose from a personal
relationship with God. This is the key! You need to be able to operate and function this way. When your relationship with God is strong, your identity will be strong, and you will be able to operate from that stability (I know who I am and I know who God is). Other people are not threats but become gifts and you will recognise how others help you do be the better YOU. God designed it that way. True humility will empower you to align with God’s will and help you see His bigger picture.

The fact is God is on the move! God’s Kingdom is expanding and when you choose to partake, you will experience true Kingdom living. In John 3 Jesus speaks to Nicodemus and explains how you not only see and perceive God’s Kingdom (“God’s supreme and powerful rule”), but enter God’s Kingdom (Read John 3:1-15). Kingdom living will never be in isolation and when God uses you powerfully in His Kingdom, He is also using someone else in a unique way.

My prayer is that we as true Church (followers of Christ Jesus) will enter the Kingdom of God with confidence in our relationship with our Abba Father and live in unity with all the other gifts God has placed around us. Think from the whole to the part, understand your role in true confident humility and appreciate the other people God has placed around you to help you grow.
